Pledge Manager and minor update

Hello dear backers,
This is not the February update, but rather a quick reminder:
- There are still around 40 people who haven't completed the BackerKit survey. There's still about 1 week to go before the end of the post-campaign (February 15 deadline), but without having filled in your addresses and paid your shipping costs, we won't be able to send you your package.
Hand delivery: Even if you want to pick up your parcel by yourself, please still answer the survey or we can't know how you plan to receive your parcel. You just have to select "Local Pick up" in the COUNTRY list. The shipping cost will become 0€.
If you haven't received an email from BackerKit, or if you've lost or deleted it, please contact us.
Please avoid paying by Paypal as much as possible, use Stripe (credit cards) as a priority. We gave explanations about this in the last news of January.
- The schedule is going according to plan and the cards, boxes, binders, playmats and sleeves will be printed at the end of February and during the first 2 weeks of March. After that, the goods will be shipped to us from China, with a transit time of 40 days, so we'll have the cards by the end of April. Packages will be dispatched immediately upon receipt, so you should all receive your cards by mid-May.
Of course, we'll keep you informed if there are any changes.
- We've just received the final samples of the cards, and they look fantastic! We didn't have time to take photos and show you everything we received, but this news was urgent (end of the BackerKit) so we'll show you everything in the main February update, coming soon!
We received a binder, a playmat, a display, boosters and, of course, the cards! We can't wait to show you all!
We'll also be taking the opportunity to continue revealing new cards.
- Finally, we'd like to announce that we'll be at the Anime Focal festival in Luxembourg next week, on Saturday February 17 and Sunday February 18, 2024. Of course, we won't have the cards in stock, but the samples will enable us to continue introducing you to the game and taking pre-orders.

Opening of the pledge manager

Hello everyone!
Today at 9:00 pm (Paris time) / 3:00 pm (New York time), the pledge manager will be open to everyone on BackerKit, for around 15 days ! You'll all receive an automatic email, and all you have to do is click on the link to be redirected to BackerKit. Your pledge and add-ons will already be entered, along with the amount you've already paid via Kickstarter.
The purpose of the pledge manager is twofold:
- To collect your addresses so you can pay your shipping costs
- To give you access to the latest add-ons at exclusive Kickstarter prices.
We would like to draw your attention to the fact that Kickstarter discounted rates will be maintained throughout the post-campaign period on BackerKit. Certain add-ons, such as the Goddess: the Convergence - Season 1 binders, will be produced in limited editions and will not be reprinted, in order to guarantee unique and prestigious quality products and to offer them exclusively to you, our Kickstarter backers!
Another point to emphasize: our estimated shipping costs were posted online at the start of the campaign, on December 5, in a table that can still be consulted on the Kickstarter website. Unfortunately, on January 1, 2024, the costs of most carriers increased by €1 (for local shipping) and up to €5 (for WW shipping) for standard delivery in certain countries. We have kept pace with this increase, but have kept it to a minimum, around 2€. We do our utmost to ensure that your entire experience with us goes as smoothly as possible, and we thank you for your understanding.
Finally, one last point:
Stripe is usually the only payment method available on BackerKit. The addition of another payment method, such as Paypal, entails additional charges of 6 to 8% of all sums paid for the creators, who have no choice but to impose them on backers by adding them to the shipping costs. For our part, given that some countries don't have access to Stripe, we've decided to add Paypal without deferring its cost to your shipping costs, but we would like to ask you, as far as possible, to use Stripe only, as long as you have no other option. For information, the massive use of Paypal in this post-campaign would represent an unforeseen cost of around 1400€ for us, which could slow down the smooth running of certain stages. But now you're knowing this, we know we can count on you!

Pledge Manager

Hello everyone,
Here's some news on the progress of the project:
We have just received the funds from Kickstarter and will be able to launch the post-campaign by opening the pledge manager. This stage essentially allows us to collect your addresses and offer you post-campaign add-ons.
By the way, due to high production costs, we've had to modify the variations planned for some add-ons:
- sleeves will be offered in 4 models, one for each era.
- playmats will also be available in 4 models
- storage boxes will be offered in 1 model only
- binders will be offered in 1 model only.
Here's the design currently being finalized for the boxes and binders:
The binders will be zipper binders in imitation-leather, like this example (illustration just for a simulation).
As you know, the pledge-manager will be open on the Backerkit platform. They have a 2-step security procedure:
- the "Smoke Test": some users (around fifteen) of all reward levels will receive an invitation to fill in their pledge manager. This is used to test whether all data has been correctly transferred from Kickstarter to BackerKit, with your respective pledges, add-ons, etc., and whether everything has been properly configured.
- If all goes well, the pledge manager will then be opened to everyone.
We don't know which users are selected for the Smoke Test, they're chosen at random. They will receive invitation emails with an automatic link in the next few days. There is no need to create an account. If you notice any problems, don't worry, just contact us and we'll do what's necessary - that's what this stage is for.
For those who haven't yet seen the last 2 NSFW cards, here they are:
There are now 8 cards revealed, added for free to all Kickstarter backers. These cards are reserved for you, and will not be reprinted or sold in the futur.
Secondly, we wanted to let you know that the final sample cards have already been printed, with all foils and holo effects, and we should receive them in about 2 weeks. We're really looking forward to seeing in our hands the final result of months of work, and to showing it to you exclusively!
Along with this sample, we'll also be receiving a model of binder, a playmat, and of course a display with the booster packs.
To conclude this news, here are some future cards that will be part of the final sample. For your information, these cards will all have the same special serial number, so we can easily recognize them as they will be offered at our next events.

First of all, we'd like to wish you all the very best for 2024, full of success, good news and happiness for you and your loved ones. The last few days have been exhausting, and we worked hard night and day updating the campaign, finalizing the new cards and answering the many questions we've received on an ongoing basis, here and on our Discord.
Things went so fast that we didn't had time to update one stretch goal before the next had already been reached. But thanks to you and your incredible support, Goddess: the Convergence will now see the light of day! The entire 4Play team would like to thank you for your trust and enthusiasm! We're also delighted to announce that ALL stretch goals have been reached and unlocked! This means that 8 Kickstarter-exclusive cards will be offered free of charge, along with all Silver-level pledges and higher!
Now, joking aside, get down to business: When we passed the 30K goal, we also decided to expand your choice of sleeves and storage box designs. Up until now, there was only 1 design, but now, as with the playmats, you can choose your sleeves and storage boxes from 4 different designs, one for each era. The design of the sleeves is shown below; the design of the boxes is not yet complete, and we'll show them to you very soon.
More than that, when you allowed us to reach 40K, as planned, we decided to offer you collector binders bearing the effigy of Goddess: the Convergence. There will be just one generic model, with 3 x 3 slots per page. We don't yet know whether it will be a fixed binder with integrated pages or a ring binder with separate pages. By the way, you can reply below this news to give us your preference, just to let us know what you think.
A quick word about stretch goals: 8 NSFW cards will be supplied with all Silver+ pledges, probably in a black blind sleeve, in case kids open your package with you, so please think about that before you open your order. The new censored cards are revealed below, but you can find the uncensored cards on our Discord server. (they can still be slightly improved)
There are still 2 cards to be revealed, but we're in the process of finalizing them, so you'll be seeing them very soon.
What's happening now?
Kickstarter will debit you from your pledge. If the debit fails, it will be retried every day for 1 week. Then the money will be sent to us and we can pay the printer to start printing. If your payment has not been accepted by this time, your pledge will be automatically cancelled by Kickstarter.
Tip: cell phone payments are often a problem. If this is your case, try using a computer, as this often solves the problem.
What's next?
Next, we'll open a Pledge Manager on BackerKit. All your payments and pledges will be transferred automatically, you don't have anything to do.
In about 2 weeks, you'll receive an email from BackerKit with a link taking you straight to your Pledge Manager. There you can choose your playmat and display models, sleeves, and even, if you wish, add other products or add-ons like binders, for example. Please note that you can add new products and pay for the rest, but you cannot remove products from your initial pledge. We will no longer be able to return all or part of your pledge.
You can then enter your address and pay your shipping costs. There will be a " Hand delivery " option for people living in our area or who have already met us.
Then all you have to do is wait for your parcel to arrive in your letterbox.
For those of you unfamiliar with BackerKit, don't worry, it's an extremely easy-to-use tool that won't require you to create an account - just follow the link. What's more, the Pledge Manager will remain open practically until delivery, so you'll have plenty of time to execute it or update your address if you move, for example. We'll notify you several times when the BackerKit emails are sent and before the pledge manager is closed, so you won't have any risk of missing out.
One last thing: for those unlucky enough not to have had time to take part in this campaign, it will continue directly on our website, but without the Kickstarter campaign rates and without the exclusive NSFW cards, reserved for Kickstarter backers.
Oh no, one very very last thing: numerous events, new releases, upcoming expansions and a season 2 with new eras and exclusive features are already planned for next year. It's still a long way off but don't miss out on the latest news and stay tuned to our Discord to make sure you don't miss a thing!

Hello everyone,
This news comes a little later than expected, but with the Christmas period and the new NSFW cards to finalize, we've all been very busy. In any case, thanks to you we've reached 2 stretch goals of 25K and 30K, and for that we'd like to thank you so much for your incredible support!
The next stretch goal is 35K, and we're well on our way to reaching it! At the same time, there is only a few followers missing to unlock another additional reward! Feel free to follow our Twitter/X account, we can do it: https://twitter.com/4playedition
And we have more good news: we've also decided to include randomly one Legendary Booster per 500 displays, in each era. This will contain 10 cards like all the other boosters, but no common cards. It will contain one card of the ranks R, SR, SRR, UR, URR, PR, SPR, UPR, XR and EXR. The unique LXR card will not be included in this booster.
And there's more to come: in the add-ons, we were initially proposing 4 different playmats, but only 1 model of sleeves and 1 model of storage box. Now, thanks to you and the funds available, we can offer you to choose between 4 different models of sleeves and 4 different models of storage boxes, one per era. We also really wanted to offer binders, but these are more expensive to produce and we'll only offer them as add-ons if we reach 40K. Below this limit, it would be risky for us to launch a mass production.
